I'll play the role of Captain Obvious here and say that massive, dangerous King cobras should probably just be left alone.
But after extreme drought hit southern parts of India, this 12-foot King cobra found its way to a local village in attempt to get some water and the locals put aside their fear and replaced it with compassion.
First, one man grabbed the cobra’s tail to prevent it from attacking the guy with water bottle — kudos to that dude, because...KING COBRA.
Then the rescuer came in front of the snake and splashed some water on the it’s head to cool the animal down.
The man, still holding a snake catcher, then extended the water bottle to the massive beast...and success! The thirsty snake accepted the generous gift and fortunately no one was harmed.
After the incident, the snake was taken to an animal care facility.
